Greenland Motel is located just outside Kundiawa town and the view towards the town is beautiful. Betty’s Lodge is located at the foot of Mt Wilhelm. Mt Wilhelm is PNG’s highest mountain. The Lodge is based at 2800 meters above sea level and erected from a mixture of traditional and western materials. It is set amongst Betty’s beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. Betty facilitates Mt Wilhelm climb. She has an expert orchid guide on the premises and will organise bird watching tours as well. Betty is famous for her fantastic hospitality and her organic meals. This is a most beautiful part area of PNG to visit.

Ambua arranges culturally based excursions to nearby Huli villages where one learns about and observes everyday life of the Huli’s, as well as the peculiarities of their traditions and beliefs. Guests tour in comfortable Toyota Hiace and Coaster buses and are accompanied at all times by experienced and knowledgeable Huli guides from the local area, so as to make the experience all the more educational and rewarding. Private touring is not possible at Ambua.

An incredible 217 species have been recorded here and Ambua is home to 13 different species of Bird of Paradise. The resort was established in 1997 by members of the Pororan Island community a very small Island off the northern shores of Buka, a one hour boat trip from the resort.
