The Destination Sogeri Tourism Association proudly bring you the second annual Sogeri Pineapple Festival.
Join the Sogeri community for an exciting event in the cool and fertile hinterlands of the Central Province showcasing agriculture, tourism, culture, heritage, floriculture, sports, music and commerce.
The Sogeri Pineapple Festival is a two-day event filled with fun-filled activities for the whole family.
Activities and features to be showcased at the Sogeri Pineapple Festival include:
- 13km Sogeri Enduro Challenge (kayaking, cycling, running)
- Cultural Performances
- Culinary Competition
- Food Stalls
- Traditional Pageant “Pineapple King and Queen”
- Most outrageous / loudest pineapple costume
- Well-presented stall/exhibition
- String Bands
- Pineapple : sack race, eating, judging (size & sweetness)
Sogeri is a 40-minute drive from our nation’s capital, Port Moresby. It is home to some well-known attractions like the Kokoda Track, Varirata National Park, Sirinumu Dam and more!
Ticket prices for the 2020 Sogeri Pineapple Festival are: K5.00 children | K10.00 adults | K25.00 family of four.
