Greenland Motel is located just outside Kundiawa town and the view towards the town is beautiful. The motel has 19 rooms and is well organized and managed by kind and friendly staff and is in a safe and caring community. Airport transfers from Mt. Hagen and Goroka approximately K500 per transfer and hire vehicles approximately K800 per day.

Airport Lodge is near the Boram Wewak Airport in East Sepik Province.

The lodge is known for its backpacker budget accommodation.  The cheaper rooms with shared facilities are a tad musty but those with small private bathrooms pass the sniff test and come with TVs.

There’s a large aviary in the tropical gardens and the best feature of this friendly yet tired-looking place is the upstairs dining/bar terrace that overflows with greenery.

Naigboi Guest House is located on Yuo, one of many picturesque off-shore islands – just an hour’s drive by 4WD, and less than 20 minutes by boat from Wewak Town in the East Sepik Province.

Naigboi is an idyllic, off-grid accommodation that provides guests authentic village experiences with access to pristine swimming and surfing spots.

Accommodation is back-packer, camping style.  Guests can bring their own sleeping bag, pillows, mosquito nets and food – or they can prearrange with the Naigboi Guest House team to provide sleeping gear and meals.

Water for cooking and washing is provided.  Drinking water is available, however it is recommended guests bring their own drinking water and a kettle to boil their water for personal storage.

There is no electricity on the island, however small solar lights are available for use at night.  Guests spending the night are encouraged to bring their own torches and solar lights.

Rubio Plantation Retreat is located along the scenic Boluminski Highway, 220 km from Kavieng and 50 km from Namatanai, New Ireland Province.

Rubio Plantation starts from the beach and goes up into the mountains.

The bungalows are made from native materials and are located along the beachfront.

The kitchen serves three meals a day and offers meals combining European, Asian and local foods and styles, including home baked bread and pastries featuring chocolate made from the plantation.

Rubio offers activities such as surfing, caving, hiking, bird watching, canoeing, biking, including cocoa plantation and chocolate-making tours.

The surf season in this part of New Ireland is from mid-October to mid-May. Rubio has consistent surf breaks right on its beachfront. There are also many other wonderful breaks in the area.
