Itinerary
Day 1 β Arrival & Vanimo Exploration
- 9:00am β Arrive at Rugo (PNG/Indonesia Border) π
- Drive through the shortest route and admire the engineering marvel connecting PNG and Indonesia π
- 11:00am β Drive to Vanimo via taxi π, enjoying the coastline and beaches π
- Check into twin share, air-conditioned hotel room π¨
- 2:00pm β Optional trip to Awawi Waterfall πΏ (return by 5pm)
- Overnight at hotel π
Day 2 β Sissano Lagoon & Tumeleo Island
- 6:00am β Wake up for 3-hour boat ride to Sissano Lagoon πΆ
- 9:00am β Canoe cruise, enjoy hot lagoon dishes including shells, lobsters, prawns, mangrove eels, red emperor, and mackerel tuna π€
- 10:00am β Boat trip to Tumeleo Island ποΈ (tour 4 islands of Aitape)
- Afternoon diving, sunbathing, and surfing π (locally provided gear)

Day 3 β WWII Relics & Yongkite Village
- 6:00am β Boat trip to Aitape town πΆ
- 8:00am β Drive to WWII international supply airport, tour relics πͺ
- 9:00am β Drive to Lumi, stay at Yongkite Village π‘
- Welcome by Tewel Pis traditional singsing πΆ
- 3:00pm β Explore Scott Tree Kangaroo (Tankile) habitats πΎ, jungle trekking with guides πΏ
- Overnight at Yongkite Village π
Day 4 β Return to Vanimo & Cultural Experiences
- 5:00am β Drive to Aitape, boat back to Vanimo π€
- 11:00am β Check in hotel, rest for 2 hours π¨
- Visit nature parks: Awari Waterfall, New Paradise, Lookout, Sandflies Beach π
