National Orchid Garden

Papua New Guinea's National Orchid Garden is located on the same premises as the popular Adventure Park, opposite the Pacific Adventist University at 14-Mile on the outskirts of Port Moresby.

The National Orchid Garden showcases hundreds of hybrid and pedigreed orchids - many of which are native to Papua New Guinea.

One of the most famous orchids is named after the Duchess of Cornwall - Camilla Dendrobium, following the 2012 Royal Visit to the Gardens by Prince Charles and the Duchess Camilla.

The best time to visit the National Orchid Garden is during April when all the orchids are in bloom.

The National Orchid Garden is open 9 am to 5 pm daily.
