Situated ideally in the heart of Kokopo Town, Taklam Lodge caters for long-term travellers, offering a home away from home service, with friendly staff. The Taklam Tours also offer scenic tours around Rabaul and on the outskirts of Kokopo.

Nuli Sapi is located on Logeia Island, Milne Bay Province-approximately 1.5 hours dinghy ride from Alotau or 5 minutes from Samarai Island.  

Private transfers can be arranged, and for the more adventurous, public dinghy’s depart each afternoon from Sandersons Bay in Alotau from Monday to Friday.

Each Nuli Sapi bungalow contains a queen size bed, bathroom and a verandah overlooking the China Strait.

Guests are encouraged to take part in the daily life of the community, including clay pot cooking, fishing from a canoe, hunting for crabs or having a lesson in traditional customs.

In addition, guests can choose to go island hopping, fishing on the outer reefs, snorkeling with the manta rays at Gona Bara Bara or go bush-walking.

The New Travellers Inn is one of the newly established accommodation facility in Kokopo. It is located just eight minutes from the Airport on the way to Kokopo Town. The facility contains 16 rooms; 2 apartments, premium executive rooms and deluxe rooms. The rooms are furnished with white and brown goods. The friendly staff strive at all times to ensure the place is well kept in order to make your stay pleasant as much as possible.

Napatana Lodge is the first Eco-tourism lodge in Alotau which is set in beautiful tropical gardens just back from the beach. It is a traditionally built pole house that reflects Milne Bay architecture and also displays the traditional building skills of local craftsman. The friendly, open air bar/restaurant overlooks the bay where cool breezes can be felt releasing an ambiance of serenity. Also, Napatana Lodge is a great meeting place for visitors to interact with the local community and wildlife.

Your visit to Napatana Lodge will be enhanced by the peaceful surrounds where birds and other animals (which have been saved by our animal sanctuary) live in harmony with their environment and Napatana Lodge. These rescued or sick animals have been nurtured to full health and released, but some refuse to move on and have become regular guests throughout the Lodge.

The Mt. Hagen Transit Home is located at the suburb of Tarangau just 6 minutes from the Central Business District. The transit home was recently built with new facilities. It is secure and ideal for those travellers seeking privacy. The inn provides hot water with reserve water take, a secure carpark with 24 hour security, laundry service, and a tour desk that can organise trips upon request by guests. The rooms are reasonable with Television, Jugs and DVD players. There are no restrictions to check-in or check-out times. The rooms are either single or deluxe.

We collect water using the many rainwater tanks we have at the lodge and will soon be installing solar panels to further minimise our environmental impact.
